Jörg Rothhaar was born in a small town close to the french broder called St. Ingbert in Germany. After attending The JOHANNEUM in Homburg he studied DESIGN at the FH DORTMUND, university for applied science. Always wanting to be a Photographer he started his professional career in his second year by taking over a friends professional photostudio.
In 2000 he became a member of the BFF, The Professional Association of Freelance Photographers and Film Creators (Berufsverband Freie Fotografen und Filmgestalter e.V.). After graduating with a degree in 2002 he moved to Düsseldorf.
5 years later he moved to Hamburg.
For Switzerland Jörg Rothhaar is represented by MARLIES LANKER in Zürich since 2013.
Today Jörg Rothhaar is an international working sports and people Photographer based in Hamburg. He shoots advertising campaigns in the USA, South Africa, France, Belgium, Finnland for various national and international clients.
Over the years Jörg Rothhaar took part in various exhibitions such as the AUFSCHALG exhibition series in Hamburg since 2012. He is a 2012 Hasselbald Masters Award Finalist. His work has also been displayed at the Photokina Visual Gallery. His professional work won many prices and he had the honor to work with some of the best agencies in the world.
Since November 2020 Jörg is Vertreter des Vorstandsbeirates Region Hamburg of the BFF, The Professional Association of Freelance Photographers and Film Creators (Berufsverband Freie Fotografen und Filmgestalter e.V.)
